What is Learn To Swim?
- Semi-private 30 minute classes with a 2:1 student to teacher ratio.
- 45 minute classes with a 3:1 student to teacher ratio.
- Students go in the water with an instructor. Parents do NOT participate at this level.
- These classes use our "ready, set, swim" method to create safe, competent swimmers.
- The goal of this level is to teach children, as young as possible, to swim across the pool, and how to respond appropriately if they were to fall into a body of water.
The Focus of this Class
- Water adjustment (submerging techniques are used to adjust the children to going under the water)
- Swimming distances under water
- Floating
- Using a back float independently
- Getting back to the wall after jumping or "falling" into the pool
- Learning to have fun while respecting the water
Requirements
- Must be at least 30 months before the start of the session for a 2x a week class!
- Must be 3 years old by the start of the session for a 1x a week class.
- Must be 3.5 years old by the start of the session to do a 45 minute class.
