Aqua Tots Westchester is a uniquely different kind of swim school. Every member of our staff is dedicated to making this the best "learn to swim" program in Westchester County.
In July of 2010 we were awarded "Best Swim Classes" by Westchester Magazine.
Our mission is to teach children, as young as possible, to be safe and competent in and around the water.
What Makes Aqua Tots Different?
OUR INSTRUCTION:
Aqua Tots has its own unique learn to swim method called Ready-Set-Swim.
This methodology began over 35 years ago when Patricia Marano, founded Aqua Tots. The methodology's core principals remain the same but Aileen and Fiona are constantly updating and developing new and innovative swimming techniques.
Most of our classes are 2x a week, and this repetition is key for our younger students who are learning to swim and develop their strokes.
OUR TEACHERS:
Being a lifeguard qualifies you to save lives, NOT to teach swimming!
Aqua Tots instructors are chosen for their passion and ability to work with young children. They each receive a minimum of 50 hours of training in our Ready-Set-Swim curriculum.
Every instructor is monitored weekly, if not daily, to ensure program consistency.
Training is continual, and instructors are required to attend frequent in-house workshops where new and exciting techniques are frequently being designed.
OUR RESULTS:
Our results are unparalleled by any other local swim school.
We strongly encourage parents to go to other local swim programs and ask to view a class for your child's age and ability. Then come to Aqua Tots and view that same type of class and you will notice the difference.
Almost all of our 4 year olds are swimming 30 feet independently and are learning freestyle and backstroke. The majority of our 3 year olds can swim underwater by themselves, and they know how to jump in the pool and get back to safety. Many of our parent/child graduates can swim 30 feet unassisted before they turn 3 years old!
